![]() That just has to be incorrect, right? I realize it's not a vampire, but that card is way too good not to play. I think you might be a little too focused on synergy at the expense of cards that are still good though.įor the first deck, I don't understand not playing Territorial Hammerskull. I think all of these decks are quite good though. All the vampire games felt way less close than all the pirate games. It also helped me see that Silvergill Adept, Strength of the Pack and Swift Warden were good cards, just not in the face of vampires. This deck wasn't quite as good as my first one, but it performed just as well. Having gotten the hard prediction and testing out of the way, I went back to see if Vampires was truly the best deck because I remember my Pirate opponent round 1 had something very comparable to my pirate decks but being annihilated without it being close, and I had ran into many pirates in my matches. Round 5: BW Vampires vs UGb Merfolk (1-0) I know at this point Bravado is making the top 10 commons. ![]() Game 2 and Game 3 I get in with Bravado (one game with one with the wind + bravado on a 2/2 which was disgusting) and clear fast wins against a deck with higher quality than mine. Game 1 I get destroyed by Hostage Taker on my Captivating Crew. Round 4: URb Pirates vs UBr Pirates (1-0)Īgain the draft for this was a test of Buccaneer's Bravado as putting it on my top 10 commons list was a bolder and harder thing than simply putting a welkin tern on there but I had a gut feeling it was right. This isn't a clear result, but despite the creature package being worse the deck performed incredibly well and showed me just how good bravado is and helped enforce this notion that it wasn't the creatures that made pirates great. ![]() I went into this draft kinda forcing on pirates with this notion that I might be better off snapping every bravado I saw and wanted to test that. In the end I lost the die roll and the game I could've won to take the match I didn't have the bravado so I lost. This one is on me, at the time of drafting this deck I was convinced Buccaneer's Bravados would make it around the table and that the Kitesail Corsairs were the harder piece of the puzzle so I ended up with Goblin Trailblazers and Kitesails up the ass with other evasive cards and not enough bravados when I could've had 4. Opponent killed it before I could untap with it despite his dying to my 4/2 flying lifelink (Annointed Deacon + 2/2 guy). I decided to run Golden Guardian not because it was correct, but for testing purposes. So what do you think? Are you excited to try out Magic: The Gathering Arena for yourself?
